Pharaohs were the kings of egypt so as you would expect they got the most expensive mummification and funeral procession money could buy as well as all the help they got from the priests to help them on there journey. This "help" came mostly in two forms amulets and spells in ancient egypt after a Pharaoh died the priests would speak aloud spells from the book of the dead when they were being wrapped to protect the dead Pharaoh as they completed tasks to get to the weighing of the heart ceremony at the gates of the afterlife.
Another way the Pharaohs were helped is that spells had been drawn on the walls of the tomb to protect such simple things as a cave in or more substantial things like grave robbers. Usually Pharaohs tombs were robbed anyway and the robbers took anything and everything that could have any value.
Pharaohs also got a hand right at the end of their Journey because even though the weighing of the heart ceremony got the Pharaoh into the afterlife they had to undergo a judgement to even get to that were 42 Judges decided on if they should even consider going to the weighing of the heart ceremony to let the Pharaoh enter the afterlife. The Priests did this by giving the Pharaoh the right words to use for each of the judges therefore letting the Pharaoh continue to the weighing of the heartwere their heart was weighed against the featherof truth.

Pharaoh mummies are buried with all the possessions that he or she will need in the afterlife including food, water, furniture and sometime even weapons so when the Pharaoh is in the afterlife he can protect himself. In King Tutankhamun's case even his two stillborn twins were mummified and entombed with him.
According to the book of the dead the Pharaohs have to work in the afterlife because the gods would not give them peace and harmony for free. The Pharaoh was buried with small statues of the Pharaoh called sabitis. Thses statues were meant to do all the work for the Pharaoh in the afterlife.
